Route Adélie de Vitré is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in April in a circuit around Vitré, France. Between 1980 and 1995 it was called Tour d’Armorique. Since 2005, the race is organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. This race is named after the main partner Adélie, an ice cream brand.
The 2021 edition of the race was held on the first of October due to corona restrictions earlier in the year. It was raining so the roads were a bit slippery for the riders this day. After almost 200 kilometres the race would finish as normal in Vitré centrum. Arvid De Kleijn manage to secure the victory with a nice finish. This was the second win for him this season.
Safe Cycling had a wonderful time in Vitré city! We had 20 safety signs and also got to try out our new safety board in the course. The organizers seemed very happy with our product, which we are really glad to hear. We will for sure come back next year!
